The Guitar Center Music Foundation is a nonprofit charity focused on granting instruments to music programs in need. Since its inception in 2005, the foundation has put instruments into the hands of over 300,000 people nationwide. Last year, we granted over $500,000 to 200 music schools, after school programs, music therapy, and veteran organizations in 41 states. This year at our annual benefit and star-studded concert, we are presenting a Lifetime Achievement Award to Grammy Award Winner Pete Escovedo (https://peteescovedo.com/), the Latin Jazz Legend and father of Sheila E., as he retires from touring this year. Pete and the E Family will perform at the event, along with several other special guests. John “JR” Robinson (https://www.johnjrrobinson.com/), one of the most recorded drummers in the world and the musical director for David Foster, will lead the house band with an amazing collection of studio musicians. We will also be honoring local music teachers for all their hard work and dedication to music education. From the moment you step onto the red-carpet, be prepared to start enjoying this special night! We are kicking off the evening with a silent auction followed by an exciting live auction, many attractions, heartfelt tributes and musical performances by several special guests.
